A bronze bust of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been quietly moved out of the Oval Office.

According to USA Today, the MLK bust was moved to Trump's private dining room as part of various changes the president made to the Oval Office, a White House official confirmed. The dining room, steps away from the Oval Office, is where Trump holds private meetings and lunches with senior staff.

More changes to the Oval Office under Trump include gold ornaments around the door frames, gold figurines on the fireplace mantle, and a framed copy of the Declaration of Independence behind blue velvet curtains.

The MLK bust was first installed in the Oval Office in 2009 by former President Barack Obama. The bust held its prominent place in the Oval Office during Trump's first presidential term.

The White House hasn't provided an explanation for the move to relocate the civil rights leader's bust. Trump did return a bust of Winston Churchill, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to the Oval Office on January 20, the first day of his second term as president.

Obama has moved Churchill's bust to the Treaty Room, located on the second floor of the White House Residence, during his tenure.

According to America's National Churchill Museum, Trump was fulfilling "a promise he made after his election win and returning a Churchill bust to the place it was prominently displayed during his first term."
