Keith Lee
MMA fighter turned TikTok food reviewer Keith Lee is using his platform for more than just tasting dishes at various restaurants. What started as Lee posting videos of his family and cooking has turned into the TikToker traveling to different states across the U.S. to spotlight small, Black, and minority businesses. Lee makes videos reviewing food from restaurants in our communities that go viral and spark new life into struggling businesses, a phenomenon that has been dubbed "The Keith Lee Effect." He often leaves large tips at these restaurants to boost these small businesses.
DeAndre Brown

TikToker DeAndre Brown uses his platform to give his followers, who he's dubbed "Corporate Baddies" and "The Elite," tips to promote career growth. Brown's videos seek to empower the new generation of the workforce to take agency in their careers in a humorous way. The viral sensation has used his growing empire to found GenXL Consulting, which helps businesses and brands understand and engage with the Gen Z audience.
Golloria George

Golloria George is a Black beauty influencer pushing for makeup inclusivity and representation. George, a refugee from South Sudan, came to the U.S. when she was five and has now become a change agent in the beauty industry. With over 2 million followers on TikTok, George has never shied away from calling out brands for failing to create products in shade ranges for Black and Brown skin. She now serves as a beauty consultant for major brands, including Patrick Ta and Rhode, to help ensure makeup inclusivity.
Joel Bervell

Medical student Joel Bervell is using his platform to spread awareness about racial disparities in medicine. Dubbed the "Medical Mythbuster," Bervell has been recognized by the UN on its Most Influential People of African Descent list for health and wellness. He has appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America to speak about medical myths in the Black community as well as published content in the New England Journal of Medicine, NPR, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.
Tabitha Brown

Actress turned social media influencer Tabitha Brown uses her platform to inspire others through humor, motivational speaking, and food content. Brown has broken down barriers, becoming the host of the Food Network’s first plant-based cooking competition "It’s CompliPlated." The host has chronicled her journey of switching to a vegan diet to help with her chronic pain and fatigue. She published cookbooks along with home and food products at major retailers across the nation.
Kahlil Greene

"Gen Z Historian" Kahlil Greene created a viral educational TikTok channel turned media company to teach Black history often hidden or overlooked in the standard school curriculum. Greene's influential platform led the State Department to send him to Angola to teach Gen Z-ers how to create their own history videos to inform others of the dangers of government corruption. Greene has earned a Peabody Award, two Emmy nominations, a book deal with Penguin Random House, and a National Geographic docuseries from his knowledge and impact on the community.
Taylor Cassidy

In 2020, Taylor Cassidy decided to create her own web series "Fast Black History" as she dealt with frustration over the lack of Black history education in schools. Through the series, Cassidy taught her followers about Black historical figures in less than a minute. She has been honored for her work, winning the 2020 Streamy Awards for another show she created called "Black Girl Magic Minute." Cassidy also was the first youth speaker at the UN's Day of Remembrance for the trans-Atlantic slave trade, where she spoke about the power of Black education.
Jackie Aina

Jackie Aina is an "OG" of the beauty YouTube scene. Since getting her start, Aina has focused on advocating for people of color in the cosmetic industry. Aina previously said she was inspired to start creating videos after she was told at cosmetic stores that "the trends she wanted to try wouldn't work for her complexion." Since then, Aina has amassed a huge following across all social media platforms where she amplifies the products and looks that work for anyone. She has also collaborated with several major brands and created her own line of beauty and home products.
