Instagram is amping up the way users experience music on the social media platform.
As its first-ever Product Innovation Week comes to a close, the folks behind the industry titan have introduced two new features for music lovers: Superbeat and Dynamic and 3D Lyrics. The two additions to the platform let users easily edit and perform music on Reels. While Superbeat hones in on automatically adding special effects to the beat of the user's song in a Reel, the Dynamic and 3D Lyrics component adds on-screen lyrics for people to perform with and, ultimately, levels up the connectivity.
Among the other new features released during Product Innovation Week included Collabs, where users will have the ability to share ownership of a single feed post or Reel. Yes, that includes joint likes, view count and comment section. Additionally, the Fundraiser Prompts ability has been added, which will let users access the function after tapping the plus button on the top right of the screen. Most notably, the other addition to arrive out of the week is the long-awaited Feed Creation tool on IG desktop web, which allows people to finally be able to post both photos and videos (less than one minute in length) using their desktop web browser.
